If you’re like I am, you have a kitchen that is groaning with all sorts of gizmos that you’ve acquired through the years. Equally, if you’re like I am, there is a small group of those gizmos that you consistently use on a daily, or at least weekly basis that you really don’t think about.
For example, I have a bulging knife block, but always reach for the same nondescript knife that I’ve had for years. I have a plethora of cutting boards, but always use the same little one that I bought years ago. As an aside, it might be interesting for someone to survey fellow bloggers for their top-10 most used kitchen gizmos. My guess is that the lists would feature relatively inexpensive items that have been used for years. Anyway, you’re probably wondering what this has to do with the Perfect Garlic Peeler!
Several weeks ago, I placed an order from Williams Sonoma. I was about $8 short of what I needed for “free shipping”, so I added this $9 Garlic Peeler (Image from Williams Sonoma), not really expecting much. I was wrong!
I use a fair amount of garlic in my cooking, and always hated having to peel the cloves. I know that you can use the flat side of a knife to break the skins, but it’s still a messy process. With this little gem, no more mess!
I’m not one to recommend things, but couldn’t resist featuring this!
