Fresh Vegetable Tray

1 package Hidden Valley Ranch Original Party Dip®
2 cups sour cream
Assorted fresh vegetables, such as broccoli, celery, carrots, cauliflower, mushrooms, zucchini, yellow squash, and cherry tomatoes, cut into bite size pieces
Decorative lettuce, such as romaine or leafy green
Large bell pepper for holding dip, if available

Combine dip mix and sour cream as directed on the package. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Prepare fresh vegetables. If using broccoli or cauliflower, wash and cut flowerets into bite size pieces. For carrots, wash, peel, and cut into sticks, 2 to 3 inches long and ¼-inch thick. For celery, wash and cut into sticks, 2 to 3 inches long and ¼-inch thick. If using mushrooms, wash and trim. For zucchini and yellow squash, wash and slice into rings. For cherry tomatoes, wash. (May be prepared in advance and stored individually in refrigerator in zip lock bags.)

Line a large platter with decorative lettuce. If a large bell pepper is available, slice off the tip and scoop out the inner seeds. Place in the center of the platter and fill with dip (if bell pepper is unavailable, use a small bowl). Arrange fresh vegetables around dip and serve.

NOTE: For a Halloween party, scoop out a small pumpkin, make a jack-o-lantern, and insert a plastic cup in opening. Fill the cup with dip and serve as above.
