Preheat oven to 400º F. In a large bowl, beat eggs slightly. Add next 5 ingredients; mix well. Add pecan pieces and mix well. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Line outer edge of the pie with pecan halves. Bake at 400º F for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º F and continue baking 30 to 35 minutes. Filling should be slightly less set in the center than around the edges. Remove from oven and cool completely. Yield: One 9-inch pie. |
