Preheat oven to 450º F. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add salt, Karo syrup and vanilla, mix well. Add eggs, one at time, beating well after each addition. Stir in pecan pieces. Pour into pie crust. Bake at 450º F for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º F, and continue cooking for 40 additional minutes. Remove from oven; cool completely on wire rack. Yield: one 9-inch pie. |
