Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with bite-sized pieces of lettuce. Sprinkle with green and red pepper slices. Sprinkle celery on pepper slices; then add onion in one layer. Top with green peas, uncooked. Combine mayonnaise and sugar; spread over vegetable layers. Sprinkle cheese over mayonnaise and top with crumbled bacon. Refrigerate overnight. Yield 10 to 12 servings. |
