Portabella Mushroom Burgers are a healthy and delicious alternative to the traditional beef burger. “Meaty” Portabella mushrooms are marinated in an awesome balsamic vinegar marinade and cooked to perfection.

Start by making the marinade. 

Next, remove the stem and gills from the portabellas.

Make shallow crosshatch cuts in the top of the mushrooms.

Spoon marinade onto mushrooms. Allow to marinate 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Add mushrooms to panini grill. Cover and cook for 7 minutes at 420°F.

Top with cheese. Allow to cook uncovered for an additional minute to melt the cheese.
