Quick and Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Meltaways
Chocolate Peanut Butter Meltaways are a perfect candy to make for gifts or to satisfy your sweet tooth. They take minutes to make, with the microwave doing most of the work. One bite and you'll discover why they are called Meltaways - rich and creamy melt-in-your mouth goodness!

- 1 cup (6 ounces, 170 grams) white chocolate chips
- ½ cup (3 ounces, 85 grams) bitter-sweet or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup (4.75 ounces, 135 grams) creamy peanut butter (See Tip 1)
- 1 Tablespoon (0.5 ounces, 14 grams) coconut oil or solid shortening (See Tip 2)
Line a mini-muffin pan with paper liners. Set aside.
Combine all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on 50% power in 30-second increments, stirring after each 30-second increment until smooth. (See Tip 3)
Pour into mini-muffin paper liners. If desired, add decorations. Refrigerate to allow the candy to harden. (See Tip 4)
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or cool place.
Yield: About 24 pieces.
- Do not use reduced-fat or generic brands of peanut butter.
- Do not use unrefined coconut oil. Unrefined coconut oil has a coconut taste to it. Refined coconut oil does not have a coconut taste.
- I like to use a large glass measuring cup to melt the ingredients. The reason is that the spout on the measuring cup makes it easier to pour the liquid ingredients.
- I prefer using a piping bag to fill the mini muffin cups. However, you could also use a spoon.
