Ingredients

  • 8 cups water 64 ounces, divided
  • 1 ½ cups (10.5 ounces, 298 grams) granulated sugar*
  • 1 ¾ cups (14 ounces) freshly squeezed lemon juice, 8 to 10 lemons

Instructions

  • Make a simple syrup by combining 1 cup of water and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat; allow to cool for 30 minutes.
  • Combine remaining 7 cups of water with lemon juice and simple syrup. Stir.
  • Yield: 11 cups.

Notes

*Use Splenda in place of granulated sugar for a sugar-free lemonade.
