Ingredients

  • 8 Hot Dogs, dried with paper towels
  • 8 oz Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Line a large baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into four rectangles. Place one of the rectangles on a cutting board and press the seams together.
  • Cut the dough into thin strips using a pizza cutter.
  • Wrap the paper towel-dried hot dogs with thin strips of dough; to make them look like mummy wrappings, leaving a place at the top for the eyes.
  • Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and transfer the mummy dogs to a wire cooling rack.
  • Place a little mustard into a piping bag and snip off the end so you have a tiny hole. (I did this because using the mustard container produces too large of a dot for the eyes.) Then, pipe two small dots on each hot dog in the space you left for the eyes.
  • Serve with sides of ketchup and mustard.
  • Yield: 8 Mummy Dogs
