- 6 oz Frozen Pineapple (See Note 1)
- 1 c Vanilla Greek Yogurt (See Note 2)
- 2 tbs Honey
- 1 c Orange Juice
- 1 c Crushed Ice
Place frozen pineapple, vanilla Greek yogurt, honey, orange juice, and crushed ice in blender. Place the lid on the blender, and if your blender has it, process it on the smoothie setting. If your blender does not have a smoothie setting, process it on the ice crusher setting until the mixture is smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
Yield one or two servings.
- Frozen pineapple is important in this recipe because it provides a thicker, creamier texture, and acts as a natural ice substitute. Therefore, fresh pineapple should be avoided.
- You could use plain yogurt instead of vanilla yogurt, but you need to add more honey to achieve the right sweetness. The vanilla adds to the flavor profile. Also, the taste of the smoothie would be a little bit different if plain yogurt were used.
