DIY Signature Spice Blend (Versatile, Flavor-Packed, and Giftable!)

This Signature Spice Blend combines kosher salt, garlic and onion powders, paprika, brown sugar, herbs, and a touch of cayenne for a bold, all-purpose seasoning. It's quick to prepare, easy to customize, and ideal for everyday cooking or gifting.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt (See Tip 1)
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Sweet Paprika (See Tip 2)
  • 1 Tablespoon Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a jar with a lid or a bowl.
  • Secure the lid and shake the contents to combine. Alternatively stir or whisk the ingredients to combine.
  • Store covered in a cool location for up to 6 months
  • If desired, package in spice jars for gifting (Optional)
  • Yield: Approximately ½ cups

Notes

  1. If using table salt instead of Kosher salt, reduce the amount by 25% or to 1 ½ tablespoons.
  2. For smoky undertones, substitute smoky paprika for the sweet paprika.
