Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • 9-inch pie plate
  • non-stick cooking spray

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 10 oz (2 ½ cups) cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • 1 lb bacon, cooked, drained, and crumbled

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • In a large bowl, using an electric hand mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Next, add the sour cream and beat until light and fluffy.
  • Then, add eight ounces of shredded cheddar cheese and beat until it is well incorporated.
  • Next, add the bacon and beat until the dip is well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie plate or 1-quart baking dish, sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Then top with the remaining two ounces of shredded cheese.
  • Bake in a 400°F oven for 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
  • Once out of the oven, top the dip with some chopped green onions.
  • Serve warm with assorted chips and crackers.
  • Yield 12 servings
