Mummy Pizza Dip

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 4 oz Mozzarella Cheese, freshly shredded
  • 2 oz Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
  • 8 oz Pepperoni, 2 slices reserved for the eyes
  • 5 sticks Whole Milk Mozzarella String Cheese, cold1
  • 2 Black Olive Slices

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Place the room-temperature cream cheese and Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Use an electric hand mixer to combine. Then, spread the mixture on the bottom of a 9-inch tart pan or pie plate.
  • Combine the grated Parmesan cheese with the shredded mozzarella cheese. Then, sprinkle half on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  • Next, spoon the pizza sauce over the shredded cheese, carefully spreading it with the back of the spoon so that it completely covers the cheese.
  • Set two slices of pepperoni aside for the eyes. Use a large kitchen knife to chop the remaining pepperoni slices finely. Then, sprinkle the chopped pepperoni over the pizza sauce.
  • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese mixture over the pepperoni.
  • Place the two pepperoni slices on top of the cheese, near the top of the dish, and the two black olive slices on top of the pepperoni to form the eyes.
  • Tear the cold mozzarella string cheese sticks into strings and place them on top to form the bandages on the mummy's face. Bake in a 350°F oven for 15 minutes.
  • Serve warm with garlic knots, bread sticks, or toasted baguette slices.
  • Yield 12 servings

Notes

  1. Keep the mozzarella string cheese cold until ready to tear it into strings, otherwise it will not easily tear into strings.
