Equipment

  • Kitchen scale
  • 2 Half-sheet pans lined with parchment paper
  • Piping bag with 1M Star Tip
  • 3-inch bakery boxes
  • 3-inch doilies
  • 1-ounce condiment cups with lids

Ingredients

  • 16.5 ounce package Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (See Tip 1)
  • ¼ cup Nutella Peanut (See Tip 2)

Instructions

Mini Cookies

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two half-sheet pans with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Portion the cookie dough into 4-gram pieces; roll into balls. Place evenly spaced on prepared baking sheets. (See Tips 3 and 4)
  • Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and cool completely.
  • Yield: 112 mini cookies

Gift Assembly (if desired)

  • Add the Nutella Peanut to the 1-ounce condiment cups, about ¼ inch below the top rim. Secure with the lid.
  • Place the 3-inch doily in the bottom of the 3-inch bakery box. Place the condiment cup with the Nutella Peanut in the top right corner; secure with a glue dot.
  • Add 14-15 mini cookies to the bakery box. Close the lid.
  • Secure the box with a gold seal, and place an ingredient label above it.
  • Yield: 7 to 8 gift boxes.

Notes

  1. Feel free to experiment with other types of store-bought or homemade cookie dough.
  2. May substitute regular Nutella, Biscoff cookie butter, or chocolate ganache for the Nutella Peanut.
  3. I would advise against skipping the dough's weight if you want equal-sized cookies. Using a kitchen scale and weighing the dough is key to perfectly sized cookies.
  4. On my half-sheet pans, I had nine rows of cookie balls, with seven per row.
