Sometimes the simplest ideas become the most memorable.
These Mini Chocolate Chip Dippers transform refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough into bite-sized cookies paired with creamy Nutella Peanut for dipping. Packaged in charming white bakery boxes, they're perfect for edible gifts, bake sales, party favors, teacher appreciation, or simply sharing with family and friends.

The best part? Nobody will guess they started with refrigerated cookie dough. After testing different cookie sizes, baking times, and packaging options, I found that tiny 4-gram cookies make the perfect one- or two-bite cookie for dipping and fit beautifully into a small bakery box.

PudgeFactor's Test Kitchen
This recipe started as a packaging experiment.
I originally planned to package the cookies in clear mini loaf containers before discovering these adorable 3-inch white bakery boxes. Once I assembled the first box, I knew immediately they were the better choice.
Another important discovery involved the cookie size. I tested both 5-gram and 4-gram portions of refrigerated cookie dough. The 4-gram cookies baked into the perfect one- to two-bite size for dipping while allowing 14 to 15 cookies to fit comfortably into each bakery box.
Perhaps the biggest surprise was how well the refrigerated cookie dough performed. The finished cookies had a texture and flavor remarkably similar to homemade chocolate chip cookies while saving considerable preparation time.
Although I weighed each of the 112 pieces of dough individually, the process went much faster than expected. I first weighed the dough portions onto a plate, then rolled all of the pieces before transferring them to the baking sheet. Working assembly-line style made the process surprisingly efficient.
Finally, piping the Nutella Peanut into the condiment cups produced a much neater, more professional presentation than spooning it in.

In Case You Were Wondering
Yes. However, I would recommend portioning it into 4-gram pieces. Based on my testing, homemade and store-bought cookie dough performed pretty much the same.
Absolutely!
Absolutely! Biscoff cookie butter and chocolate ganache are both delicious.
Yes. Freeze the baked cookies in an airtight container, and assemble when ready.

Tips/Notes
- Feel free to experiment with other types of store-bought or homemade cookie dough.
- May substitute regular Nutella, Biscoff cookie butter, or chocolate ganache for the Nutella Peanut.
- I would advise against skipping the dough's weight if you want equal-sized cookies. Using a kitchen scale and weighing the dough is key to perfectly sized cookies.
- On my half-sheet pans, I had nine rows of cookie balls, with seven per row.
