Set the pan aside until ready to use, then put on a pair of food-grade vinyl gloves. - Then, mix the spices into the ground beef with your gloved hands.
- Cover the top of your kitchen scale with plastic wrap. Then weigh out ยฝ ounce portions of meat.
- As you portion the meat, roll it into balls, press it flat into patties, and lay the patties on the prepared rack.
- Bake in a 350ยฐF oven for eight minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and flip the patties over. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional eight minutes.
- Once the patties have finished baking, remove the pan from the oven and turn the temperature to broil. Press paper towels on the tops of the patties to remove as much grease as possible. Then, flip the patties over and use more paper towels to remove grease from the other side.
- Fold the American cheese slices in half, then fold those halves in half again to get four small squares from each slice. Then, place one small cheese square on each cooked patty. Return the pan to the oven and broil for about a minute to melt the cheese. Keep an eye on the oven to make sure your cheese doesn’t burn.
- Cut the pretzel bites in half and place the bottoms on one half-sheet pan and the tops on another. Lay the bottoms and tops in identical spots on each pan; this will help you keep track of which bottoms go with which tops. Then, place a small dollop of the burger sauce on both the bottoms and the tops.
- Place the burger patties with melted cheese on each pretzel bite bottom.
- Then, place the tops on the pretzel bites on top of the burger patties.
- For serving, place the Cheeseburger Pretzel Bites on a large serving platter. For classic cheeseburgers, use American cheese. I like to use Land O’Lakes American Cheese, which can be found in the deli section of your supermarket. It’s much easier to work with when breaking the slices into quarters, and you don’t have to bother unwrapping multiple slices of cheese.
Feel free to use whatever kind of cheese you like. Cheddar cheese is a good choice,ย but you can also experiment with other types, such as Monterey Jack,ย Colby,ย Pepper Jack, Swiss, or a combination of cheeses.
Leftover bites can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the microwave for 15 seconds per bite.

Tips/Notes
- The ground beef package that I purchased was 1.17 lbs. I used all of it and ended up with 38 Cheeseburger Pretzel Bites.
- The number of American cheese slices you need will be determined by the number of burger patties you wind up with. I used a total of four slices of cheese.
- The number of King’s Hawaiian Pretzel Bites you need will be determined by the number of burger patties you wind up with. I bought two packages of them just to be safe.
- Keep an eye on the oven when you broil the cheese. I did mine for 1 minute 30 seconds and that was too much, it browned the top of the cheese.
- Aim for a dollop between the size of a pea and a blueberry.
