    Frequently Asked Questions

Can you make these Pepperoni Pizza Crescent Rolls in advance?

Yes, you can assemble the pizza rolls up to 4 hours ahead of time. Cover the unbaked rolls tightly on a baking sheet with plastic wrap and store them in the refrigerator until ready to bake. Add 1 to 2 minutes to the total baking time if cooking straight from the fridge.

How do you store and reheat leftover Pepperoni Crescent Rolls?

Store any leftover rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer at 350°F for 3 to 5 minutes until warm and crispy. Avoid microwaving them, as this can make the crescent pastry soft and doughy.

Can you freeze baked Pizza Crescent Rolls?

Yes, allow the baked pizza rolls to cool completely, then arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet to freeze for 1 hour. Transfer the frozen rolls to a freezer-safe bag or airtight container for up to 2 months. Reheat directly from frozen at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes.

What other fillings can you add?

You can easily customize these rolls with cooked crumbled Italian sausage, diced bell peppers, sliced black olives, cooked bacon bits, or sliced jalapenos.

    Recipe Tips and Tricks

    • Air Fryer Option: Cook these in an air fryer at 350°F for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
    • Prevent Cheese Leakage: Wrap the pepperoni slices around the string cheese stick before rolling it inside the dough to keep the melted cheese contained.
    • Extra Flavor Boost: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese or coarse sea salt over the melted garlic butter before baking for an added bakery-style crust finish.
    • Avoid Soggy Dough: If adding moist toppings like sautéed mushrooms or pineapple, pat them dry with a paper towel before adding them to the dough.
