    Frequently Asked Questions

Can this recipe be made in advance?

You can cut the watermelon fries and make the feta dip up to a day ahead. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

What if I don't have a crinkle cutter?

A crinkle cutter gives the classic "fries" look, but a sharp knife works too. Aim for even, fry-sized sticks for easy dipping.

Can I add extra flavor to the feta dip?

Try adding lemon zest, fresh herbs, or a drizzle of honey for extra flavor.

    Recipe Tips and Serving Suggestions

    • For the best "fries," use a seedless watermelon and cut into uniform sticks for easy dipping.
    • Chill both the watermelon fries and the whipped feta dip for at least 30 minutes before serving for maximum refreshment.
    • Arrange the watermelon fries in neat rows or a fan shape around a bowl of whipped feta dip on a large platter. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a sprinkle of lemon zest for a pop of color and extra freshness.
    • Portion the watermelon fries into small clear cups or jars, with a generous dollop of whipped feta dip at the bottom. Perfect for parties, picnics, or grab-and-go snacking.

    Tips/Notes

    1. I used reduced-fat cream cheese in the dip, but you can use full-fat cream cheese if desired.
    2. You will likely have watermelon left over. Cut into pieces and refrigerate for a refreshing snack.
    3. If you don't have a crinkle cutter, you can use a sharp knife to cut the fries.
