    Ingredients - Here's What You'll Need

Only four ingredients are required to make this delicious thirst quencher.

    Ingredients for strawberry sparkling lemonade.

You can purchase simple syrup, but it's super easy to make. Heat ½ cup or water and ½ cup of granulated sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. That's it!

Prepping the Strawberry Lemon Mixture - Simple Steps

    1. I started by adding the fresh strawberry slices, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup to my blender.

    1. After securing the top, I puréed the ingredients for about 30 seconds.

    1. I knew from experience that even with puréeing, a few bits of strawberries would remain in the liquid. Therefore, I poured the mixture into a wire mesh strainer set over a measuring cup. Then, I used a spoon to stir the mixture, leaving behind bits of strawberries. I ended up with about 1 ½ cups of the strawberry lemon mixture.

That's it for the strawberry lemon mixture. I generally make this mixture ahead of time and refrigerate it until I'm ready to make the lemonade.

    Making the Strawberry Sparkling Lemonade

    1. I started by adding about 1 ½ cups of ice to my pitcher.

    1. Then, I added the sparkling water.
    1. After giving the Strawberry Sparkling Lemonade a good stir, I added some lemon slices and sliced strawberries.

    That's it!

This Strawberry Sparkling Lemonade is a refreshing and versatile drink that's easy to make and sure to please. It's perfect served with Strawberry Balsamic Chicken Salad.

Whether you're hosting a gathering or enjoying a quiet afternoon, this beverage adds a touch of sparkle to any moment. Yum!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can frozen strawberries be substituted for fresh strawberries?

Thawed frozen strawberries work well in this recipe. Just make sure they are fully thawed before blending.

Can bottled lemon juice be substituted for fresh lemon juice?

I wouldn't recommend using bottled lemon juice. The reason is that it tends to have an off taste. Do yourself a favor and use fresh!

Can this recipe be made in advance?

You can prepare the strawberry-lemon mixture in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Add sparkling water just before serving to maintain the fizz.

    Recipe Tips and Tricks

    • Make your own simple syrup by heating ½ cup of granulated sugar and ½ cup of water in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
    • You can use club soda in place of the sparkling water.
    • For a smoother texture, strain the strawberry lemon mixture to remove any remaining bits of strawberries.
    • Chill all of the ingredients before mixing for an instantly cold beverage.
    • Enhance the presentation by adding lemon slices and fresh strawberry slices.

    Tips/Notes

    1. May substitute thawed frozen strawberries for the fresh strawberries. Just make sure the strawberries are totally thawed before adding them to the blender.
    2. You can purchase simple syrup. However, it's super easy to make. Heat ½ cup of granulated sugar and ½ cup of water in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is totally dissolved. That's it!
