Ingredients – Here’s What You’ll Need
- The Rolls: I used homemade pizza dough, but you could also use store-bought pizza dough. I brushed the cast iron skillet with olive oil before adding the rolls.
- The White Pizza Dip: For the White Pizza Dip, I used cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
- For Brushing the Rolls: I made a simple garlic butter to brush on the rolls using unsalted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt
Making the Three Cheese White Pizza Dip with Pull Apart Rolls
- I started by cutting the pizza dough into equal size pieces and then rolling each piece into a tight ball.
- Next, I brushed my 10-inch cast iron skillet with olive oil and placed the dough balls around the outer edge of the pan. I covered the pan with a dish towel and placed it in my electric oven on the proof setting to allow the dough to rise.
- While the rolls were rising, I made the three cheese white pizza dip. I added the cream cheese, sour cream, minced garlic, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning to a medium bowl.
- Then, I used my electric mixer to beat the pizza dip ingredients together.
- After about 45 minutes, the rolls had risen nicely. I spooned the dip into the center of the bread ring and smoothed out the top.
I baked the pizza dip in a preheated 400ยฐF oven for 20 minutes.
- While the dip was baking, I made the garlic butter. I added unsalted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt to a microwave safe measuring cup. I microwaved the ingredients for about 30 seconds until the butter was melted, and stirred everything together to combine.
- After 20 minutes, the dip was bubbly and the rolls were golden brown. I removed the dip from the oven, and brushed the rolls with the garlic butter.
- To finish the three cheese white pizza dip, I sprinkled on some fresh basil strips, and sprinkled the rolls with some freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
This Cheesy Skillet Pizza Dip with Pull-Apart Rolls was absolutely delicious.
Whether you’re hosting a game day party, enjoying a family night, or simply craving something indulgent, this dish delivers satisfaction in every bite. The combination of gooey cheese and soft, golden rolls makes it an unforgettable experience that will have everyone reaching for more. Yum!

Tips/Notes
- I used reduced-fat cream cheese, but you could also use regular cream cheese.
- I used light sour cream, but you can use regular sour ream.
- I would avoid preshredded mozzarella cheeese which contains an additive that can interfere with the melting.
- If you use one pound of pizza dough, cut each piece into 1.33 ounces. I used my homemade pizza dough that weighed 17.4 ounces, and cut each piece into 1.45 ounces.
- My electric oven has a proof feature which I used. If your oven doesn’t have a proof feature, use Julia Child’s recommendation – turn the electric oven on for exactly 1 minute and 45 seconds to warm the interior, then turn the oven off.
