Ingredients – Here’s What You’ll Need
One thing that makes this recipe quick and easy is using store-bought ingredients.
- The Lettuce: This classic recipe uses crispy Romaine lettuce as a base for the salad. I cut the Romaine lettuce into bite-size pieces for these wraps.
- The Chicken: You can cook your own chicken breasts, but I opted for store-bought refrigerated grilled chicken breasts, which I cut into half-inch pieces. You could also use rotisserie chicken.
- The Croutons: I’m a huge fan of crunch, so I like to add croutons. While you could make your own croutons, I opted for store-bought cheese and garlic-flavored croutons, which I cut into half-inch pieces.
- The Flavor Boost: I like to add some freshly grated Parmesan cheese for a flavor boost.
- The Dressing: While I could have made my own dressing, I opted for store-bought lite Caesar dressing.
- The Wrap: For the wrap, I used 10-inch flour tortillas.
Making the Caesar Salad Wraps – Step-by-Step Directions
- I started by adding the Romaine lettuce, chicken, croutons, Parmesan cheese, and dressing to a container with a lid.
- Then, I put the lid on the container and gave it a good shake to combine the dressing with the other ingredients. This is a trick I learned from Susan! It’s more effective in coating all salad ingredients with the dressing than tossing the ingredients together.
- Next, Susan took over by heating the flour tortilla in a pan to soften it. Then, she poured the combined salad ingredients onto the flour tortilla.
- Susan wrapped the flour tortilla around the salad ingredients like she would wrap a burrito.
Susan cut the wraps in half, sprinkled on some additional Parmesan cheese, and served them with some fresh fruit on the side.
Whether you’re looking for a fast and flavorful lunch option, a portable meal for on the go, or an easy way to meal-prep for the week ahead, these chicken Caesar salad wraps tick all the boxes.
With just a few simple ingredients and minutes of prep time, you can enjoy the classic flavors of a Caesar salad combined with lean protein in a convenient handheld package. Yum!
Frequently Asked Questions
A great shortcut for these wraps is to use leftover chicken or pre-cooked rotisserie chicken. Simply shred or chop the chicken before assembling the wraps.
You can prepare all the ingredients ahead of time and store them separately in the refrigerator. When ready to eat, all you need to do is to assemble the wraps. Because the Romaine and the croutons will lose their crunch after the salad dressing is added, it’s best to eat the wraps within an hour of assembly.
Feel free to make these wraps vegetarian by omitting the chicken.
Recipe Tips and Tricks
- Rolling the wrap if the flour tortilla has been heated is easier. In addition to heating the tortilla in a dry skillet, you can heat it in the microwave for 10 seconds.
- Because of the filling’s nature, the tortilla tends to unwrap once cut. To minimize this, secure the wrap with toothpicks.

Tips/Notes
- I used flame-grilled seasoned chicken breast strips that I purchased from Walmart’s cold food section. You could also use rotisserie chicken or cook your own chicken.
- I used seasoned store-bought croutons. Because of their size, I cut them down to about ยฝ inch.
- I used Ken’s Lite Creamy Caesar dressing, but you can use your favorite store-bought or homemade Caesar dressing.
- The flour tortillas are heated, making them more pliable and less likely to tear. I would avoid heating them in the microwave, as this tends to make them gummy and causes the edges to harden quickly.
