Why You'll Love These Loaded Hash Brown Patties

    • Quick and Easy: If you love loaded potato skins but don't want the fuss, frozen hash brown patties are the quick and easy solution.
    • Deliciously Loaded: Just like loaded potato skins, these patties are topped with cheese, bacon, sour cream, and chives for a flavor-packed bite.
    • Customizable: You can easily adjust toppings to suit your taste. For example, top the hash browns with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese for a pizza fix. Like jalapeño poppers? Top the hash browns patties with cream cheese, Pepper Jack cheese, and sliced jalapeños.

    Ingredients and Substitutions

    Simple ingredients for maximum flavor!

Ingredients for loaded hash brown patties.
    • The Hash Browns: I purchased premade frozen hash brown patties at Walmart, and they were perfect for this recipe.
    • The Cheese: In our house, the cheese of choice is extra sharp cheddar, which I used. You could, however, use whatever melty cheese is your favorite, like Colby Jack, regular cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey Jack, Pepper Jack, etc.
    • The Bacon: I used bacon, which I cooked, drained, and crumbled. You could also use real bacon bits that you can purchase in the grocery store.
    • The Toppings: I used a dollop of low-fat sour cream sprinkled with minced fresh chives for the toppings. Sometimes, I'll place the sour cream in a piping bag with a small round tip and pipe it in a zigzag fashion.

Making the Loaded Hash Brown Patties

    1. I started by placing the frozen hash brown patties on a nonstick aluminum foil-lined baking sheet. Then, I baked them according to the package directions.

    1. Next, I sprinkled the patties with some shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.

    1. I returned the hash browns to the oven for two to three minutes until the cheese was melted and bubbly.

    1. I removed the hash browns from the oven and transferred them to a serving dish. I finished them with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkling of minced fresh chives.

With minimal prep time and maximum flavor, these loaded hash brown patties are sure to become a staple in your recipe collection. They are the perfect choice, whether feeding a crowd or treating yourself. Did I mention that they are absolutely delicious? Yum!
