    • Easy Preparation: A pre-cooked spiral-cut ham makes this recipe quick and easy to prepare.
    • Show-Stopping Presentation: The caramelized glaze gives the ham a beautiful golden-brown color, making it a true centerpiece.

Simple Ingredients - What You'll Need

Ingredients for brown sugar orange glazed ham.
    • The Ham: I used a 9-pound fully cooked spiral cut half ham for this recipe.
    • The Simple Glaze: For the glaze, I used dark brown sugar, orange marmalade, Kosher salt, black pepper, and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Step-by-Step Instructions: Here's How to Make this Ham

    1. First, I made the simple glaze by stirring together the brown sugar, orange marmalade, salt, pepper, and orange juice in a medium-size bowl.
Adding orange juice to the rest of the ingredients for the glaze.
    1. Next, I placed the ham sideways in a disposable aluminum roasting pan lined with extra-wide, heavy-duty aluminum foil. Then, I added about a quarter cup of the glaze to the ham, spreading it over the ham and pressing it between the ham slices.
    Adding glaze to the ham.
    1. I turned the ham, cut side down, and spread another quarter cup of the glaze on the ham. Then, I covered the ham with extra-wide, heavy-duty aluminum foil and baked it at 350°F for an hour.
    1. After an hour, I removed the ham from the oven and removed the aluminum foil. Then, I spread about a third of a cup of the glaze over the ham. I returned the ham to the 350°F oven uncovered for 15 minutes.
Adding more glaze to the ham.
    1. After 15 minutes, I removed the ham from the oven and brushed on about a third of a cup of the glaze. Then, I returned the ham to the oven for another 15 minutes.
Brushing the ham with additional glaze.
    1. I removed the ham from the oven, and brushed it with additional glaze.
    Brushing the ham with glaze.

I allowed the ham to sit for about 15 minutes before serving it with scalloped potatoes, spinach artichoke casserole, and freshly baked homemade rolls.

With its perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, ease of preparation, and stunning presentation, this recipe is destined to become a family favorite. Whether you're serving it for a holiday feast or a special Sunday dinner, Brown Sugar Orange Glazed Ham will surely have everyone asking for seconds and savoring the yummy leftovers. Yum!
